New Two Position Assembly Station

Dukane's Two Position Assembly Station for Plastic Assembly can be used for heat staking, spin welding or ultrasonic assemblies. In our two-position assembly system we are using a standard Dukane 220 narrow profile press and DPC IV plus generator and iQ Explorer software (as shown in the photo below). The machine can handle larger plastic assemblies 12 x 6 x 8 inches and has a rotary two position pneumatic reciprocating table allowing the operator to load the machine while welding.

Features include lexan guarding with lockable doors, casters with leveling feet, dust enclosure for generators, light curtain and vertically sliding pneumatic door. The assembly station also has a push button interface and PLC control or an optional HMI  touch screen interface. A fault light has two distinct functions; it shows weld processes such as good part, bad part and automated machine motion error.

The work cell has a heavy duty welded steel base with a 1” thick blanchard round top which insures robust mounting and support for welding components on a rotary table.

Acoustic sound foam can be added for noise abatement. Other features include optical cycle start switch and multiple press system capability and lockable disconnect switch and air shut off. Standard voltage is 240 vac. Single phase with other voltages optional.
